Position description

Responsibilities

The Licensing Librarian is a 100% full-time position that reports to the Library's Scholarly Communication Officer, and is situated within the Office of Scholarly Communication Services (OSCS). In helping to shape and improve access to electronic resources for the UC Berkeley campus, the Licensing Librarian also works closely with campus counsel, the Head of the Collection Services Division, AUL for Scholarly Resources, Head of Acquisitions, Electronic Resources Unit staff, the Library IT Systems and Discovery Librarian, and subject liaison and selector librarians.

About The Library
UC professional librarians are academic appointees and are represented by an exclusive bargaining agent, University Council - American Federation of Teachers (UC-AFT). This position is in the bargaining unit.

Librarians are entitled to appropriate professional development leave, two days per month of vacation leave, one day per month of sick leave, and all other benefits granted non-faculty academic personnel. The University has an excellent retirement program and sponsors a variety of group health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans in addition to other benefits.
